OneWorld Food Ingredients Inc., founded in 1984 by Mr. Sze Wai Pang, is a leading industry producer of food ingredients, specializing in caramel colors, soy extracts, vinegar, bouillon cubes, and customized food solutions.

Company Timeline

  • OneWorld Food Ingredients Inc. was founded by Mr. Sze Wai Pang in 1984 under the original name of MCT Food Products. It began with the production of soy sauce, operating from a modest 100m² facility. Early on, the company developed advanced equipment which enabled it to expand its operations to include the production and canning of salted black beans. This marked the start of OneWorld Food Ingredients Inc.’s commitment to quality, innovation, and growth in the food ingredient industry.

  • It ventured into the production and bottling of vinegar, further diversifying its product offerings, and securing its position in the food ingredient industry.

  • As part of its growth, the company invested in producing caramel color, strengthening its portfolio to serve a wider range for food and beverage production.

  • The company further expanded. It moved to a larger plant site, expanding its production area to 2,000 m² to meet the increasing demand for its products.

  • Developed technology for producing acid hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP). This enables us to produce high-quality HVP efficiently, enriching our product line with a sustainable and versatile ingredient that meets the evolving needs of our customers.

  • Development of advanced technology for vinegar production. The company specialized in producing 10% vinegar which allowed us to deliver high-quality vinegar that meet both industry standards and consumer expectations.

  • Introducing of advanced bouillon cube-making technology to expand the company’s product offerings and produce high-quality bouillon cubes.

  • The company built a new facility designed to house the blending of dry mixes and for filling of dry and liquid items. The expanded facility also houses a dedicated packing line for wide range of products such as powdered seasonings, sauces, bakery mixes, soy sauce, vinegar, powdered beverage, and dry & liquid mixes.

  • The plant is granted with ISO 22000:2005, HACCP and GMP Certification by SGS Philippines Inc. for production of vinegar, chicken and beef bouillon cubes, as a commitment of the company to comply with the highest levels of food safety and quality control. Several products also received HALAL Certification, reflecting the company’s commitment to meet the needs of the customers.

  • The company is granted with a plant wide ISO 22000:2005 Certification, which includes food defense and food fraud. With the certification and expanded production capabilities, marks the company’s dedication in providing top tier ingredients and excellent service to customers.

  • Expansion to a new plant which houses a new warehouse to meet the increasing demands of storage and production and improve the ability to serve the customers more efficiently.

  • Fish sauce production commenced to meet the growing needs of the clients. The company is dedicated in using quality ingredients and by applying gradual and meticulous processing using traditional fermentation to create a rich and authentic flavor.

  • Procuring of spray-drying machine to allow the company to turn liquid based products into powdered form. This led to the introduction of products such as vinegar powder, fish sauce powder, hydrolyzed vegetable protein powder and caramel color powders.

  • The company expanded its facility by establishing a new office building and warehouse, designed to improve operational efficiency, and to support the growing operations team. This investment enabled the company to enhance its services, streamline the process and respond quickly and more effectively to the needs of the clients and partners. With the expanded infrastructure, the company is well equipped on continuous delivery of high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

  • The company is granted with FSSC ISO 22000:2018 Version 6 Certification by SGS Philippines, Inc., this displays the company’s commitment to food safety, quality and compliance to global standards.
